A tribute to Jean-Michel Beacco will be paid on January 19, 2026 starting at 15:00 p.m., at the Collège de France, in order to celebrate his legacy and to highlight the profound impact he has left on the scientific and institutional landscape.
This meeting will not only be a time of memory, but a moment of collective reflection around what Jean-Michel Beacco has contributed to building and transmitting: a demanding vision of research, a spirit of disciplinary openness, and a rare ability to create a dialogue between mathematics, finance, economy, artificial intelligence and societal issues within the Louis Bachelier Institute and beyond.
The interventions will offer cross-perspectives — scientific, institutional and personal — to illustrate the richness of this heritage and how it continues to inspire projects, foundations and research communities.
The exchanges will take place in the Marguerite de Navarre amphitheater of the Collège de France.
We would be very happy to be able to count you among us for this moment of sharing and transmission.
