The Europlace Institute of Finance (EIF) was founded to structure a program of activities dedicated to research in economics and finance.

Its mission: to strengthen ties between researchers, academics, and professionals, and to develop applied research on issues of collective interest in the fields of finance, banking, insurance, and business.

The EIF also aims to identify training needs in France and Europe, and to promote the knowledge developed by European universities and research centers.

Outreach and partnerships

The EIF relies on a strategic network of founding partners: Caisse des Dépôts, Crédit Agricole SA, CNP Assurances, Société Générale, and Euronext.

Its Board of Directors includes distinguished members from leading institutions (AMF, BNP Paribas, CDC Tech Premium, TSE, Citibank). Its ex officio members, such as the Île-de-France Regional Council and Université Paris-Dauphine PSL, provide strong academic and regional anchoring.

Chaired by André Lévy-Lang as an honorary member, the EIF operates at the heart of France’s economic and intellectual ecosystem.

Governance

The EIF is governed by a Board of Directors that reflects its ecosystem, composed of four groups: founding members, ex officio members, qualified experts, and honorary members.

A Government Commissioner ensures compliance with the statutes and the public-interest mission.

A Scientific Council supports the Institute’s strategic direction and contributes to defining research priorities.
