The guest of honor

Gérald Bronner — sociologist, professor at Paris-Sorbonne University, member of the Academy of Technologies and the National Academy of Medicine — will open the evening with a conference entitled:

“Are we destroying reality? ”

This intervention extends an exploration begun in The democracy of the gullible (PUF, 2013) and Apocalypse cognitive (PUF, 2021): how our beliefs are formed, why the most salient ideas often outweigh the most true ones, and what role do AI and virtual reality play today in this deregulation of reality.

A round table to catch the eye

The conference will be followed by an exchange moderated by Guillaume Ledit (journalist, DNA), with:

• Monique CANTO-SPERBER(Emeritus Research Director at CNRS & Founder Abouts+)
• ‍Axel DAUCHEZ (President Make.org)
• ‍Elise HERMANT (Head of Communication at BNP Paribas and Vice President of the BNP Paribas Foundation)

Together, they will question the conditions of a ecology of attention, the place of civic platforms and mediations, and the means to equip our judgments for rebuilding a shared reality base.
