Gérald Bronner — sociologist, professor at Paris-Sorbonne University, member of the Academy of Technologies and the National Academy of Medicine — will open the evening with a conference entitled:
“Are we destroying reality? ”
This intervention extends an exploration begun in The democracy of the gullible (PUF, 2013) and Apocalypse cognitive (PUF, 2021): how our beliefs are formed, why the most salient ideas often outweigh the most true ones, and what role do AI and virtual reality play today in this deregulation of reality.
