Background:

The three-year agreement signed between the ACPR and its academic partners as part of the “Regulation and Systemic Risks” research initiative hosted at the Risk Foundation (also called the “ACPR Chair”), will expire on August 31, 2025.

The ACPR has set up a transparent procedure for selecting its partners on the basis of a call for tenders. The amount of the grant paid by the ACPR will amount to 150,000 euros per year under the new three-year agreement.

Each academic institution is invited to form a team but joint applications are accepted. Several institutions may be selected under this initiative; in this case, the grant will be distributed among the selected institutions. The following actions from the partner institutions will be expected in the framework of the agreement:

- Conducting research projects and publications in leading French or international academic journals with peer review committees, as part of a work programme in connection with ACPR's topics of interest (in particular in order to inform “policy” debates);

- Collaborations between partner research teams and that of the ACPR General Secretariat, in particular with a view to exploiting data from the ACPR or at its disposal for research purposes. Possibility of staying (visiting) or hosting doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers and confirmed researchers, according to modalities to be defined.

- Development of exchanges within the framework of seminars and research workshops (“workshops”) and animation of the international dimension of the Research Initiative (“outreach”): invitations from foreign researchers, presentations of research work from partner institutions and ACPR outside.

The topics covered by the call for tenders are as follows:

- Analysis and assessment of risks for the financial system;

- Taking into account the network dimension (“system wide”) and the interactions between financial actors;

- Industrial organization, innovation and business models (including stablecoins);

- Risks related to climate change and nature (including insurability).

To apply, please return the Form application form (maximum 5 pages), before September 15, 2025, at the following address samia.brisson@institutlouisbachelier.org
