Do you want to put science at the service of the transition? Join theESG Lab Of ILB Labs, the R&D unit of the Louis Bachelier Institute, to contribute to high-impact projects combining sustainable finance, ESG data and modelling.
About ILB Labs
Created in 2008 by the Ministry of Finance, theLouis Bachelier Institute (ILB) is a partnership-based research network in economics and finance. Its mission: amplifying the impact of research by bringing together academics, businesses and public authorities.
Les ILB Labs bring together:
- one ESG Lab (sustainable finance analysts);
- one Data Lab (R&D engineers in data science).
Positioned halfway between research and advice, the Labs deliver results operational in project management formats inspired by consultancy, with the support of a network of 1,000+ researchers can be mobilized according to expertise.

- Net Zero Alignment of a portfolio of car credits/insurance, with impact modeling levers of action.
- Development ofgreen financial engineering tools For a solution geothermal energy.
- Methodology ofAlignment of financial centers.
- Frame ofsocial impact assessment for financing offinancial inclusion.
- Automatic extraction information from extra-financial documents.
- ESG data integration for risk management and regulatory compliance.
Internship missions
In direct contact with the ILB Labs managers, you will be required to:
- Contribute to the structuring of offers and applied research projects.
- Participate in a main project and to short missions in sustainable finance:
- Literature review and methodological panoramas (alignment, scenarios, impact methods, etc.).
- Development and testing methodologies (e.g. Net Zero alignment of activities/portfolios) on real data.
- Analysis results and recommendations.
- Preparation and presentation deliverables (analyses, hypotheses, results) to partners.
- Project organization: expert exchanges, preparation of meetings, follow-up.
- Conduct a Thematic research (green/sustainable finance) to be presented internally and/or be the subject of a non-academic article.
Framing : you will be supervised by João Paulo Sertã and supervised by Louis Boulanger. Interactions with recognized experts (e.g. Stéphane Voisin, depending on the project) are planned.

Profile wanted
Technical skills
- High-level training in Finances, climate science or engineering.
- First experience in sustainable finance appreciated.
- Knowledge: ESG regulations, green finance products/mechanisms, bases of climate science.
- Ease in frenchmen and English (written/oral).
- Mastery Office pack (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to clearly present technical work.
Human skills
- Curiosity, autonomy, strength of proposal (technical & organization).
- Esprit organized, creative, entrepreneurial, taste of teamwork.
- Interest in projects innovators advancing the state of the art.
