Concrete ways to reorient finance towards environmental transition, based on the work of researchers and practitioners brought together by the ILB

The Sustainable Finance and Responsible Investment (FDIR) research initiative brings together researchers and practitioners to advance and disseminate knowledge in sustainable finance. Its remarkable longevity is due to the faithful commitment of its partners and to the quality and variety of the scientific teams involved.
Every three years, FDIR members, assisted by a Scientific Steering Committee, define priority projects that meet the concerns of the financial industry and meet the requirements of academic research. This workbook covers the work carried out during the period 2022 - 2025.

Understanding how finance can contribute to the responsible development of our economies requires looking at the triptych of individuals/financial industries/businesses.
First of all, what motivates individuals to invest in responsible businesses? Milo Bianchi studies the influence of life experiences in individual investment decisions.

Second, how to organize the financial industry to promote socially responsible investment? Olivier Gossner is interested in the impact of management fees on the ability of the insurance sector to support long-term investment. Patricia Crifo analyzes the role of SRI labels in reporting corporate actions to investors.
Finally, what tools do responsible businesses have? Sébastien Pouget assesses the impact of green patents on the financial and environmental performance of companies. Patricia Crifo is interested in the links between wage policy and CSR. Nicolas Treich, whose interview opens this book, discusses the specific difficulties in defining a strategy for the protection of biodiversity.
Great read!
