Soirée d’hommage à Jean-Michel BEACCO le vendredi 19 septembre 2025 à 18h.

En accord avec la famille de Jean-Michel Beacco, nous organisons une soirée vendredi 19 septembre à partir de 18 heures au Palais Brongniart pour honorer sa mémoire.

Elle aura lieu dans la Nef du Palais Brongniart (16 Pl. de la Bourse, 75002 Paris)  où pourront se retrouver ses très nombreux amis et partenaires.

" Jean-Michel Beacco est décédé dimanche matin dans un accident de montagne.

Cette disparition brutale bouleverse sa famille, ses amis et tous ceux qui l’entouraient au sein du groupe de l’Institut Louis Bachelier.

Je perds personnellement un ami chaleureux et un soutien intellectuel et humain précieux. Jean-Michel a pris la direction de l’Institut Louis Bachelier en 2009, peu de temps après sa fondation, et il lui a donné en seize ans un développement exceptionnel à tous points de vue : activités, rayonnement, domaines de recherche. Son dynamisme et son talent lui ont permis de recruter, former et animer une équipe remarquable, qui a rendu possible ce développement.

Il a également construit autour de nous un solide réseau de partenaires académiques, professionnels et publics, réseau qui constitue un atout essentiel de notre groupe. Mais surtout, son énergie et sa rapidité d’analyse et de décision s’accompagnaient d’une simplicité, d’une chaleur humaine et d’un bon sens exceptionnels.

Jean-Michel laisse une empreinte profonde, et son souvenir continue d’inspirer chacun de nous.

Les équipes qu’il a mises en place à l’Institut Louis Bachelier nous permettent d’assurer la continuité des projets, des travaux et de la recherche."

"Jean-Michel Beacco passed away on Sunday morning in a mountaineering accident.

This sudden loss has deeply shaken his family, his friends, and all those connected to him through the Louis Bachelier Institute.

On a personal level, I have lost a dear friend — warm, generous, and a precious source of intellectual and human support.

Jean-Michel took the helm of the Louis Bachelier Institute in 2009, shortly after its creation, and over sixteen years he led it to remarkable growth in every dimension: activities, influence, and fields of research.

Through his dynamism and talent, he was able to recruit, mentor, and inspire a remarkable team that made this development possible. He also built a strong network of academic, professional, and public partners, a network that remains one of the group’s greatest assets.

But above all, his energy, his sharpness of analysis, and his decisiveness were always accompanied by simplicity, warmth, and an extraordinary sense of humanity.

Jean-Michel leaves a profound legacy, and his memory will continue to inspire us all. The teams he built at the Louis Bachelier Institute will carry forward our projects, our work, and our research."
