We are pleased to announce the multidisciplinary summer school and research stay
“CEMRACS 2026 — Modeling and AI for the environmental transition”,
which will be held at International Center for Mathematical Encounters unto marseilles.

CEMRACS 2026 is aimed at doctoral students, advanced master students and young researchers, and will focus on mathematical and statistical modeling as well as on artificial intelligence applied to major challenges in the following fields:
environmental and energy economics, actuarial science, sustainable finance, ecology and climatology.

The event consists of:
• a week of summer school (13—17 July 2026), followed by
• five weeks of research session (July 20 — August 21, 2026),

during which participants will work in small groups on research projects supervised by senior researchers.

Participants can only attend the summer school, or both the summer school and the research session (the latter is subject to selection).

• Modeling the water cycle at the interface between climate, hydrology and socioeconomics — J. Polcher
