BCA Expertise and the Fondation du Risque: A Partnership Leveraging Data to Advance Research

This is the ambition of the partnership between BCA Expertise and the Fondation du Risque, a member of the Institut Louis Bachelier network. By providing our researchers with free access to a unique database, drawn from more than one million automotive assessments carried out each year, BCA Expertise is choosing to support research in the service of the public interest.

In a context shaped by evolving mobility patterns, the energy transition, and new challenges in the insurance sector, this collaboration will enable research on key issues, including:

• the drivers of claim costs;
• the impact of new powertrains on vehicle repairability;
• levers to promote repair over replacement;
• the environmental footprint of claims management.

Made available within a strictly regulated framework, these data will provide researchers with a valuable resource to better understand ongoing transformations in the sector and produce insights useful to stakeholders in insurance, automotive, and the ecological transition.

This partnership fully reflects the mission of the Fondation du Risque and the Institut Louis Bachelier: to build bridges between the economic world and academic research in order to inform decision-making and support major transitions.
